Andreas Bhagwan
CEO and one of the largest owners of NanoLogica

Hi, my name is Andreas Bhagwan. I am the CEO and one of the largest owners of NanoLogica. I am here in Södertälje, in the lab, to present our final communication and focus on the fourth quarter. We carried out a company's mission, and we did that to focus on chromatography. We have had very good progress in our production, invested a lot of time and resources in it during the quarter. Then we have received a lot of orders, we have met customers, but I'm also going to talk a little bit about our strong view of the market. If you look at the figures for the fourth quarter, we see that we had a turnover of 674,000. And the movement result and the result after the tax is very much in line with the corresponding period last year. We had 70 million in the cash at the end of the period. So now to what everyone wonders about and that I myself work hard with, which is production. As you know, we have two business areas. We have pharmaceutical development and we work with preparatory chromatography. And it is in preparatory chromatography that we want to produce products. We have received a number of orders that we want to deliver and there is a very large interest in our products. And that has made us, during the fourth quarter and also during the first quarter, probably during the second as well, have shifted the resources so that everyone works to get the products out. So the whole team is focused on getting the products out. We are building out our capacity as much as we can here in Södertälje, but the main focus is on our large facility. Our large factory. And there, at the end of the quarter, we got our first approved batch. We are very pleased with that. But we work in the industry to lower the costs for insulin producers. That's where our products are used. And then we want to be completely sure that it keeps the highest class. Chromatographically, it looks like that. But we are not completely satisfied anyway, but we have made a new batch. The preliminary data we have seen looks even better. If it is that or the next batch afterwards that we send out to customers, I do not know. Our focus is to get the product out as soon as possible and to keep it in the highest class. We do not compromise on quality. The market, which I will tell you a little more about. Yes, the silica market has been, in terms of volume, quite dominated by insulin. Insulin is used in diabetes. One type of diabetes medication that is a bit more modern is glucagon-like peptides or GLP. It is a very good diabetes medication that has recently been approved and used for overweight treatment. And that market has really taken off. And if you look at the market, you should say that the focus on the insulin market is, if we put together India, Pakistan and Bangladesh, it is in particular the largest market, especially if we look 20 years ahead. And there is a very large activity to get out larger volumes of insulin to large amounts of people, especially India, but also in China and the rest of Southeast Asia. And globally, we see that this is a an epidemic that just continues. There is nothing that indicates anything else. And unfortunately, from a public health perspective, there are even more that are overweight and then have started to use, and some of them have started to use these glycagon-like peptides with good results. And these two factors together mean that we see that in the future there will be very, very good market conditions for us who work on this market. And we are quite few. There are three players today, tomorrow there will be four. We see no other entity on the horizon that can get involved in this market. And that means that in a very long time it will be a favorable market condition for us who are on that market. So if we summarize from Södertälje today. We have good progress in production. We are not done, we are happy. We work hard all the time, including our pharmaceutical development team. We have the underlying markets that are growing very strongly, which means that we believe that in the future we will see a capacity shortage of silica, which of course benefits us. There are few producers and very high demand. With that, I would like to thank you for listening from Södertälje. Bye!
